He is pleased with the outpouring of solidarity that followed the macabre news which testifies to « the attachment, friendship, fraternity, consideration or simply the respect that you had for this great Cameroonian patriot who, for decades, worked for the construction of a better Cameroon. On behalf of the ACT-AGIR movement and the family of our late President CPE, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, » he wrote. He said that this week will be dedicated to the celebration of the life of the illustrious to close with his burial on August 28, 2021 in the strict privacy of his family.
Pr. YAP BOUM II calls especially some former allies of Christian Penda Ekoka to restraint. It recalls that the last moments of the deceased’s life were marked by « an extremely violent, unhealthy and unfair cabal orchestrated by members and supporters of his political ally, » the note explains that this episode has deeply bruised Christian Penda Ekok, who was surprised by the silence of this ally. « Taking note of this situation, the ACT-AGIR movement, in perfect solidarity with the family of our late President, requests the authors and actors of this despicable cabal, in the name of decency, dignity and especially respect for the memory of the illustrious departed, to refrain from any participation in the various ceremonies organized on the occasion of this great loss, » the note announced. A decision taken with a view to avoiding any slippage and to allow the priority to be reserved for the tribute that will be paid to the economist polytechnician whose life deserves to be celebrated in all serenity.
